The game 10,000 is a fairly popular one. I have come across some variants of this simple game also called 5,000. If you have any variants or more suggestions for dice please e-mail me at DanyG@levalet.com The game uses 5 dice. Any number can play. The first player throws the dice and his score is added as he goes along. A player can stop at any time except after a three of a kind and mark his total or keep on playing as long as he throws a combination. If he fails to do so, he forfeits all the points for this round. A player must reach 10,000 exactly. Some variants include that a player must have a minimum of 400 points accumulated to start the game (I have also seen 400 points minimum for the last round). Combinations: Thanks to Janet here is a variant from London: 6 dice Aim to be the first to score 10,000 points minimum start score of 450 points to finish you have to reach the score of 10,000 exactly or bust if you score on all six dice you must roll at least one more time scoring:- 1 = 100 5 = 500 3 x 1 = 1,000 4 x 1 = 2,000 5 x 1 = 4,000 6 x 1 = 8,000 3 x 2 = 200 4 x 2 = 400 5 x 2 = 800 6 x 2 =1,600 3 x 3 = 300 4 x 3= 600 5 x 3 = 1200 6 x 3= 2,400 3 x 4 = 400 4 x 4= 800 5 x 4 = 1600 6 x 4= 3,200 3 x 5 = 500 4 x 5 = 1,000 5 x 5 = 2,000 6 x 5= 4,000 3 x 6 = 600 4 x 6 = 1,200 5 x 6 = 2,400 6 x 6 = 4,800 a roll of 1 + 2+ 3 + 4 +5 +6 = 1,000 Another variant from Amber: You can't get on the board unless you have 1,000 points. The scoring is the same, however, if you have 3 pair (2, 2, 5, 5, 1, 1) you get 500 points, and if you have a straight (1-6) you get 1500 points but you have to throw all six dice and use all six dice in one roll. Enjoy the games. ![]() Main Page |
